Grow Mama Grow.

It is February, I know.  But Presidents day is upon us and this is the time of year I like to start putting together my grand plan for my kitchen garden.  Squash, peas, carrots, beets, tomatos, and cukeumbers.  I like to keep things simple, it may have something to do with the fact that I have three kids.

My mother ignited my love of gardening in me.  And I know that I am passing down this love to my children.  Growing this love of the earth began when my babies were growing in me.  I gardened throughout both of my pregnancies and my gardens were my exersice, and peace when my babies were newborn.  Seeding, weeding, and tilling the earth all the while my babies were at arms reach on a blanket under the shade of an umbrella.

Just like mother earth you provide the fertile womb, essential nutrients and warmth.  They start  as seeds inside us. Sprout and grow.  Just like the seeds planted in the ground, you never really know what your crops will turn out like. And you never will know what your baby will grow up to be.  Shower them with your love, nourish them with your milk, and be generous with your passions.  Let nature run it’s course.
