It’s that time of year: New Year’s Resolution time!
If you are like us, every year you make a resolution or two and then by February, life has gotten in the way and maybe you’ve forgotten about it or fallen off track.
We get it. The mom life can be hard to balance.
But that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t set some resolutions for 2019 and strive to keep them. We all need to grow and change and let’s face it. If you don’t take care of yourself, no one will.
So here are 10 New Year’s Resolutions for Moms. Read on:
We hare you laughing all ready. But reading is a great activity for those quiet moments. So, resolve to read a book a month in 2019.
Drink more water
Chances are, you probably aren’t adequately hydrated. Few people are. So, invest in a spiffy new water bottle and chug a lug!
Move more
Notice we didn’t say start a whole new workout routine. If you haven’t worked out in years, try to start slow and just incorporate more movement into your day. Get the kids involved! It can be a nature hike or a dance party. Just start.
Try something new
This doesn’t have to be a huge. Try a new recipe, a new hairstyle, a new approach to parenting. Just break out of your comfort zone!
Laugh more
We can sometimes get so caught up in the day to day chaos of parenting that we forget to laugh. So, try to drum up a giggle or two every day! We are sure your kids are hilarious!
Hug your kids
You probably are already doing this, but making a conscious effort to hug your kids more – especially if they are older – will mean the world to them. And to you!
Unplug
We all know we need to do this. Set a daily or weekly goal to limit your phone or tablet time. Even cutting it 20 minutes a day at first can help.
Go green
Make a small change that’s healthy for the planet and get your family involved! Whether it involves consuming less, recycling more or reusing something, be creative.
Friend zone
We all need our friends, right? But life can get in the way. So, resolve in 2019 to spend more time with your buddies. Make a coffee or play date. Have another family over for a pizza dinner.
Sit in stillness
If your house is like ours, it’s probably chaotic. A lot. Everyone needs a little stillness, so try to carve even ONE minute of solitude out a day. Sit and meditate or just drink coffee in quiet. Your mind will thank you.

From us to you, we hope you have a happy and healthy 2019!
