Five things to let go of in 2020

It’s a new year: 2020. A new decade can be a fresh start.

Are you carrying around old baggage or hurts? Many of us are. Instead of making resolutions this year, let go of things that are holding you back.

It can be stuff, bad relationships, whatever. Here are five things to let go of in 2020. Read on:

Clutter

Physical clutter. Mental clutter. Stuff has a way of piling up in our homes and in our heads. You CAN easily get rid of the physical clutter by targeting a room or a space (like a closet) at a time. There are methods to use, like Kon Mari, or people you can hire to help if it is too overwhelming.

For mental clutter, it’s OK to seek professional help to sort out your feelings!

Bad relationships

Whether this is a spouse, a family member or a friend, 2020 is a great time to take stock of your relationships and see if it’s time to let go of toxic people. It’s OK to prioritize yourself and set boundaries. In fact, it’s healthy!

Social media

Do you spend hours flipping between social media apps on your phone? It isn’t good for your health, your emotions or your relationships. Vow to do more things in 2020 that make you forget to look at your phone. If you are having issues, remove the apps from your phone and only access them via a laptop or desktop computer.

Body image issues

You can’t solve this one overnight, but you CAN make space in your head to appreciate your body – even if it isn’t quite what you want it to be. By honoring what your body has done – and is doing for you – and looking for inspiration from others seeking body positivity, you can start moving beyond the negative self-talk.

Fear

Think about what you could do if you had no fear of failure, then do it. It sounds simple and it is. And it doesn’t have to be one major life changing thing. Maybe you are afraid to make a phone call for appointments. Just do it! What’s the worst that can happen? By trying to conquer little fears, you can eventually get the confidence to conquer big ones.

Everything Birth At Everything Birth, we hope you have an amazing new year
